uniqueness and style as French or Chinese cooking.
Our one day Turkish Country Cooking
Course is designed to whet your appetite and take you
back to a time when all meals were seasonal, made with local
produce and served at a leisurely pace.
You won't become a 'Chef Supremo' in one day, but you will
perhaps gain an appreciation of a simpler, more tasty way of
preparing, cooking and eating familiar fresh foods.
Our course starts with a visit to the open air market in the
town of Mumcular. Every Sunday the whole of the center of
Mumcular becomes one big food market selling everything from
seasonal fruit and vegetables, yoghurt, cheeses, bread and
fish to a whole range of household and clothing
items.
After buying all the main ingredients for our late
lunch we go to the quaint hillside village of Comlekci. Here
we will all help with the preparation and cooking of a range
of 'mezzes'. These are the famous tasty Turkish snacks that
in combination with fresh locally made bread
become an entire meal. Lots of different tastes, served in
the traditional Turkish way and accompanied with a glass of Turkish wine or
beer.
